Description

This project is an examples of “superilles” , the program put in place by the Barcelona City Council with the goal of increase the extension of pedestrianised public space in the “ensanche” area. A participatory process is organised in each case to decide the new use for the space liberated from traffic. Reversibility and adaptability are key concepts of the strategy of Leku Studio. More than a fixed design for the new space, the architects propose a new system to occupy the street through patterns and elements of urban furniture.
