Description
One of this work’s best qualities is how it is introduced to the site, with tiny Cidade da Paz square continuing on into the building’s ground floor, crossing the water mirror and reaching the end of the lot.The extreme beauty of this positioning justifies a visit to the locale on its own. The building is made with two elements: exposed béton brut and dark brown aluminum window frames. The two main façades have a strictly smooth volume, without verandas or balconies, just concrete and glass. The apartment plans are very similar to the architect’s houses in terms of their program, which values continuous circulation, and in the materials employed.(Text by Catherine Otondo and Jose Paulo Gouvêa .
