Description

A library can be conceived as a centre around which to create public spaces, plazas, gardens and even some areas of the library itself with magnificent views. This library is conceived as a series of rooms that adopt the size and shape of a traditional lounge or cafeteria, making users feel as if they are in a known, warm and pleasant place that invites itself to be used as a space to read and watch films, as well as to study. Artist Peter Halley fully understood the approach of the project and contributed to it by creating an artistic decoration, a priceless ornament. Specifically, Halley, an internationally renowned artist, took inspiration from a Borges text about libraries to create a wallpaper that covers all the interior spaces and looks out through the open shutters, inviting visitors to enter and enjoy the spaces and scenes that take place in the rooms.(Description provided by the architects)
