Description

This project, more than any other of Miralles - Pinós, is a calligraphic project: behind each stroke there is a poem's will, we draw it telling us a thousand stories. One of them, having the feeling of the place in the thought, referred us to the idea of "dust you are dust you will be". Hence the decision to return the bodies of the deceased to the earth, to nature: if the program asked us to deposit them in concrete niches, we buried the niches. To do this, a path descends into the terrain, further emphasizing the idea of a place that brings us to an end. The whole project had to refer to the flow, to the flow of life, silent and slow. We wanted to be nature, we wanted the cemetery to be the place where visitors returned to find what they really are: nature with the ability understand and feel a poem.(Description provided by the architects)
