Description
This building is one of the first to be built within an urban renewal plan in the area around van Hasseltweg which aims to introduce large-scale residential buildings among the existing low-density fabric. The building is made up of a large longitudinal base from which huge volumes emerge. On the plinth, similar in height to neighboring buildings, the building houses commercial premises and community spaces for the neighborhood, thus affirming its vocation to contribute to the public life of the area. To avoid the screen effect, the entrance nuclei to the houses are transparent, generating visions from the street to the interior gardens. The houses are located in the large volumes, including a great typological diversity.
