We propose the incorporation of a thin layer. A place with the capacity to reconsider the changing needs, aware of its flexible and temporary condition. CAAC is projected by a solution based on prefabricated circular elements that vary in height and diameter and arranged in a flexible but tight way, allowing a view similar to an urban forest of shadows. It is indispensable to assume their role as part of the new center of Cordoba. This is achieved through the addition of elements, instead of overwhelming buildings that do not allow a dialogue face to face with the user.The cover design is closely related to other points of view from which the action is perceived, both existing buildings on the perimeter, and from other positions, such as the bridge over the tracks of the AVE. Therefore, it is very important this treatment of the color at the upper surface.Equally important has been the treatment of the ground plane as an activator of different uses. The treated surface as a huge game board to host any type of activity, the already known and others still to be invented. The temporary use of the market two days a week is a condition, but by no means a limit, it is just one of many possible uses that can occur in this public space.The cover is solved with a diameter between 7 and 15 umbrellas meters. In turn, the heights are also variable between 4 and 7 meters. This allows great flexibility, high variability with few constructive elements. Moreover, the position at different heights prevents excessive opacity construction and allows for reflection by the passage of natural light through the various shades.The umbrellas have steel structure. Within brackets, the elements of evacuation recover rainwater deck, it is built using aluminum trays in different colors with insulation inside. The treatment of the underside of the roof is reflective, resulting in an enormous capacity to transform the space, by the way natural light activates the color reflection.Finally note that artificial lighting is set to the same parts, producing a uniform light on the ground plane and the capture of light by reflection from the bottom of the umbrellas, the light points are in different orbits in each umbrella, taking into account the amount of light coming from nearby items.( Description provided by the architects)
