Description
The building envelope, made of granite ashlars, gives it a hermetic character that conceptually evokes the Mosque of Córdoba. This analogy extends to the entrance courtyard and the open plan terminal with its ceiling supported by countless columns. A corridor between the two spaces serves as a waiting room and houses the ticket offices, cafeteria and administration area. Finally, the large courtyard-garden contains archaeological remains.( Source : Andalusian Historical Heritage Institute / Text by Francisco Daroca Bruño )
