Description

The building responds to the traditional characteristics of the historic centre of Cordoba reinterpreted in a contemporary key. Eleven small studios are grouped around a main living courtyard to which they all have a relationship through circulation galleries, but also with the vocation of living. The entrance to the complex is through a hallway which is intentionally designed in semi-darkness as a transition between the street and the courtyard. A large linear swimming pool and the use of an old oven found during the excavation work serve to organise the entire open space.(Description provided by the architects)
