Description

Both the verticality of the tower typology and the position of the plot in the city respond to the two main goals of the project: to finish off the axis that articulates the new Salburúa expansion area and to establish a dialogue with the large wetland that surrounds it. The surrounding parkway creates a kinaesthetic experience of great visual interest due to its sinusoidal layout, while the diagonal footprint of the old airport coincides with the direction from which the historic centre of Vitoria is viewed, which is as attractive in height as that which unfolds to the north and east over the landscape. The project therefore proposes to divide each tower into two and to arrange them by pivoting them around the existing axes on the site.(Description provided by the architects)
